Gyeongju Attractions is placed in North Gyeongsang province, it was known as a capital of Silla Kingdom in 57 BC to AD 935. Silla Kingdom is considered as the longest dynasty in South Korea, Gyeongju had served as a capital city for 992 years; at least there were 56 kings who ruled Silla Kingdom herein. Now days, Gyeongju is becoming one of the major tourist attraction in South Korea, especially for those who prefer historical spots.
- How to reach Gyeongju
There is no airport in Gyeongju, if you want to go by plane; you need to take the
fight to Busan or Ulsan. You still need to take the express busses on the
airport to reach Gyeongju, buses are available every hour; so if you missed
one, you can still take the next buses without waiting too long. You can also
take direct return buses to go to Gyeongju, it provides 4 hours tour from Seoul
Incheon Airport to Gyeongju Intercity Bus Terminal. Touring by trains
will need more than 5 hours, because the trains run slowly; it will only take
you to Busan, so you still need to take the buses to go to Gyeongju. Taking both train and buses are preferable
compare to plane; it is not only cheaper in prices, but it also provides
convenience package for tourists who just come to South Korea for the first
time.

you can visit while traveling to Gyeongju including Gyeongju
National Park, Bulguksa and Golgulsa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Royal Tombs, The
Wolseong Yangdong Village, Cheomseongdae Observatory and many more. Gyeongju also held an annual celebration such as
Korean Traditional Liquor and Cake Festival and Hike Namsan Mountain vestival.
The Wolseong Yangdong Village is also known as Yangdong Folk Village, the place
is representing people live during Joseon dynasty. In Yangdong Folk Village,
you not only enjoy the sound of cicadas, the view of old houses and natural
surrounding; but you can also enjoy Korean daily traditional life. It is not an
artificial village just like Korean Folk Village; because people who live in
Wolseong Yangdong Village had inhabit the village for generation. Korean
Traditional Liquor and Cake Festival is held in march until April; you can
enjoy the fresh brewed of rice liquor from every shop around Gyeongju. The people are also organizing traditional music
festival, dance, art and craft event that can be enjoyed by the tourist,
Gyeongju attraction is mostly concern on traditional South Korean culture.
